A new study from the American Diabetes Association suggests that frequent insulin pumps can actually cause more damage to your blood sugar and insulin levels than they help prevent.
In the study, researchers found that people who frequently replaced their insulin pumps with non-inflatable ones were more likely to have a higher blood sugar level than those who replaced their pump with nonstick ones.
The findings are likely to increase interest in insulin pumps, and in the insulin pump replacement process itself.
